About
Alison Blackwell (she/they) is a working animator and illustrator based in rural Vermont. They obtained a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2007 and have held many relevant jobs- and some odd ones- ever since. Alison both loves to work and lives to work, and is their own taskmaster extraordinaire.
They bring to their work a sense of liveliness, weight, and physicality, drawing upon their 20 years of experience in contact sports, including 14 years of roller derby and 11 years as a mixed martial artist. These days, they’re more into gentle walks and snow shoveling.
Some of their favorite things to draw are cats, muscles, architecture, and cars.
